Google Cloud Print will no longer be supported

Google Cloud print has been in a test phase for 10 years now. Google has decided to discontinue the development of Google Cloud Print as of 1 January 2021. What are the consequences of this for you? As of 1 January 2021, it will no longer be possible to print via www.google.com/cloudprint.

Do you use Cloud Print with your Chromebook? Then there are a few alternatives:

Native print

For example, Google offers the Native Print option from the Google Workspace admin console. Native Print has been supported by Chrome Enterprise since the last three years. You can add, remove, enable and disable printers by organizational unit in the Google admin console – no connecters needed.

Settings

If you have a local printer, the printer can be added to your Chromebook settings. Adding the printer is set within two simple steps.

Do the alternatives not contribute to a solution? Please send an email to support@gcompany.nl.
