Google Cloud Platform now also hosted in the Netherlands

Google Cloud Platform now also hosted in the Netherlands

Today, January 30, 2018, Google Cloud announces it has opened a fourteenth location for Google Cloud Platform services: in Eemshaven, Groningen, the Netherlands.

This substantial expansion now makes it even easier for Dutch and European organizations to build custom applications and take advantage of Google’s scalability.

"We are very excited about Google Cloud Platform coming to the Netherlands, one of our key markets in Europe. With Google Cloud Platform, we can quickly and easily expand our global business, and enable our people to deliver real value to our customers. Google is a strategic partner that helps us deliver personalized service on a large scale in the travel industry."

Travix, the umbrella organization of companies including CheapTickets.nl and vliegwinkel.nl, is a client of g-company and makes full use of the Google Cloud services. Not only is the entire IT organization built on Google Cloud Platform, which among other things makes it possible to respond to the peaks and troughs within the travel industry, but all employees also work with G Suite, formerly Google Apps for Work.
