Hard work pays off

Hard work pays off

YESSS!!

That was my first reaction when I received an email from Google Cloud starting with “Congratulations”.

No, it wasn’t my birthday, nor did I just close a record breaking deal. In fact, the reason I received this message, was to inform me that g-company achieved the Infrastructure Partner Specialization in the Google Cloud Partner Program. And yes, that achievement makes me very happy!

Partner Specialization Program
Google Cloud Partner Specializations are designed to provide Google Cloud customers with qualified partners that have demonstrated technical proficiency and proven success in specialized solution and service areas.

Quality mark

Not only because it has been quite a journey – there is an extensive list of requirements that need to be assessed and met – but especially because it’s a recognition of our commitment to delivering world-class technology services and solutions to a wide array of organizations. It’s like a quality mark that helps customers find us, and which makes us stand out from competition.

Infrastructure Partner Specialization
Partners that have achieved this Specialization have demonstrated success assisting customers architect and build their Google Cloud Platform infrastructure and workflows, and migrate to Google Cloud Platform.

Architectural challenges

As a strong advocate of the disruptive and endless possibilities of Google Cloud Platform, we’ve built up a respectable portfolio of customers with GCP projects in the past few years. In 2017 this helped us achieve the status of Google Cloud Platform Premier Partner. When the new Partner Specialization Program was introduced in the summer of 2018, we decided to progressively expand our skills, expertise and experience in the field of cloud infrastructure. Simply because we  strongly believe that this is the expertise that many organizations need nowadays and that serves as starting point for further steps into the cloud. Furthermore, our achievement of the Infrastructure Specialization is a guarantee for our existing and future customers that we will carry on investing in Google Cloud Platform expertise, so that we will continue to be the best cloud partner for them.

Organizations that we have helped (and/or are still helping) solve their architectural challenges are APK Group , Tentoo, Moonoia and Smartphoto. In the coming months we will reveal more details on the complexity of these projects. A very cool fact is that in most cases, we train the technical team at the customer organization to gain deeper insight in Google Cloud Platform, so they are fully equipped to run the projects themselves, coached by g-company.

Our cloud architects

The Specialization could not have been achieved without the great efforts of our infrastructure experts, who are all acknowledged Cloud Architects: Koen Maes (GCP guru and certified GCP trainer), Edsger de Looff (formerly working at a g-company customer, where he fell in love with GCP), and Thomas van Latum (allround Google Cloud expert with a passion for developing and Machine Learning). And with proper pride I can add my name to this list as well. 🙂

Google’s definition of a Cloud Architect
A Professional Cloud Architect enables organizations to leverage Google Cloud technologies. With a thorough understanding of cloud architecture and Google Cloud Platform, this individual can design, develop, and manage robust, secure, scalable, highly available, and dynamic solutions to drive business objectives.

Our solutions

g-company offers step-by-step, independent solutions to the cloud. Steps that we take together with the customer as part of the infrastructure track, are:

We hope to achieve more specializations in the future, as this is definitely part of our ambition! In the meantime, we will keep on working for and with our amazing customers from many different sectors and sizes, to help them move their workloads to the cloud!
