Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much

The year 2020 was turbulent and companies were forced to adapt to all the changes we faced worldwide. By adapting, you remain open to innovation and change. But change is often not possible without trial and error.

We have experienced this as well. Both internally and with our customers. Getting up after a fall turns out to be a lot easier when your organisation is running in the cloud. Web-based workplaces have become the normal standard whilst working at home and making sure you stick to the rules. This time we are in a complete lockdown. The toughest so far. Let’s all make the most of it and create as many solutions as possible, so that every company remains efficient and effective. We are happy to do our bit. We can do that better if we have more people to help us do so. That is why we are pleased to share the news that we have added no less than four new employees to the g-company team. In this blog post they introduce themselves to you!

 Pascal van Woerkom

“My name is Pascal. I live together with three red cats, a big red dog and my partner in a nice corner house in Hilversum. My daughter and son have already moved out a while ago. Besides rummaging outside in the garden, reading, looking at old bricks on a city trip and wandering around in nature, I love to cook and I can use my creativity in making quilts. I make these quilts for friends and family, but also for a foundation that distributes these quilts to ill children”.

“Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain”.

“I started in November as Service Delivery Manager. My daily responsibilities are to manage the support team and to guarantee and, where necessary, improve the service”.

 Kuno van Rooijen

“I am Kuno and have been working for g-company since December. I studied International Business & Languages at the Avans University of Applied Sciences in Den Bosch. During my studies I did an internship in Sydney and studied in Valencia. In addition to my studies, I also worked at Arval. A car leasing company where I worked at the IT Service Desk. I also like to travel, go to the gym and am a Formula 1 fan. I also like to party and I currently live in Nieuwegein.

"I think it would be great in the future to be able to grow into an international role, such as International Sales Manager. I also think it would be interesting to be able to work and live abroad for a number of years".

“I have been hired for the position of Business Development Representative Freshworks and Monday.com. This means that I will mainly focus on these tools where I will help customers with their problems and ensure that these problems or processes can be solved with Freshworks or Monday.com”.

 Koen de Leeuw

“I am Koen, born and raised in Waddinxveen, but since last summer I live in Soest. Together with my girlfriend we moved to Soest because of the beautiful surroundings here. The perfect place to enjoy cycling (I like mountain biking and racing) and walking (sometimes walking, but mostly running). For a peanut butter sandwich you can wake me up in the middle of the night (preferably 30 seconds in the microwave)”.

Within g-company I supervise Freshworks implementation projects. In addition, I now also provide support for Freshworks customers.”

"Hakuna Matata!”

“The past few months have been challenging. The team within g-company responsible for Freshworks needed to expand. Fortunately, we now have a number of new colleagues and the team is starting to form. That gives us a lot of energy! It has surprised me how many customer contacts companies receive each day. I notice that there is a great need for working efficiently and effectively. We meet that need so that people can focus on what makes their work unique. In the future, I especially see opportunities for ICT systems to communicate better with each other, so that work becomes even simpler and more fun!”

 Jeroen Konijnenberg

“My name is Jeroen konijnenberg, I am 27 years old and I was born in Apeldoorn. I started in the hospitality industry up to banquet and sales. After that I started to focus on sales in the retail sector. I have been sales promoter for Sony NL and sales employee of Budget-Energie. I also worked for seven years at the defence as Natres military. I did all this in addition to my study Small Business & Retail Management.”

"Successful people do what they love to do. That ensures that they persist when the going gets tough, while other people give up at that moment. "

“I am broadening my horizons with technology. The contemporary possibilities that technology has to offer are unprecedented. Technology allows us to give more and more out of our hands, it offers opportunities or just makes life more fun”.
