2020 is a year in which we must constantly adapt. Although there are unfortunately organizations that are forced to say goodbye to employees or even to close their doors permanently, fortunately there are also plenty of organizations for whom the corona crisis offers new opportunities. To innovate. To accelerate. To change.
In recent months, we have been able to help many customers take steps into the cloud in a faster pace. For example, by helping them to offer employees a web-based workplace, so that they can work from home easily, quickly and safely. An important added value of g-company in these kinds of projects is guiding change. And to be able to continue to do so, we are pleased that from this week two new Change Management Consultants will be strengthening the g-company team! In this blog post they introduce themselves to you.
Ernst-Jan van Gils
“My name is Ernst-Jan van Gils. I live in Gouda with my girlfriend and our two children. In my spare time I like to run 🏃 (2-3 times a week if possible) and a few times a year I participate in obstacle runs. In addition, I am a very active barbecuer 🍖 and, if the weather allows it, I am behind the Kamado every weekend to prepare tasty dishes. You can wake me up at night for a delicious pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw 😋.”
Stagnation means decline
For me, technology is the driver of change. Technology provides new forms of interaction, collaboration, living, etcetera. In short, without technology we would stand still and thus decline.

"Don’t wait for a good day. Try to make one yourself."
“I was introduced to David in 2011 and since then we occasionally met each other. That way, I was always updated on g-company’s activities.
Early summer 2020 David and I spoke again and he excited me to meet a number of people within the organization. During those (online) conversations I became very enthusiastic and I felt a click with the people within the organization. That was when I decided that I want to contribute to the further growth of g-company. As of October 5, I will mainly focus on Change Management and Adoption of Google Workspace.”
Wouter Stiekema
“Hello, my name is Wouter Stiekema, I am 39 years old and live with my wife and three kids in Hilversum. I started my career as a teacher at a primary school and from there I made the transition to the IT sector. For the past 13 years I have helped with implementations of IT platforms in various roles, both in the education sector as well as in the corporate sector.
In my personal life I like to spend my free time running 🏃♂️, cycling 🚴and exploring the outdoors with my family 🌳.”
My smart home
I have always been interested in new technologies. For example, I’ve been trying to make my house as smart as possible since a couple of years. From a robot vacuum cleaner to an automatic watering system for my backyard. I like and enjoy it when technology can take work off my hands.

“I will start as Change Consultant. In concrete terms, this means that I will help customers deploy and implement their (new) IT application.
I chose to join g-company because this position exactly matches my profile. For the past 13 years I have always enjoyed working on the customer side in the IT sector. In addition, I believe in the Google platform and I like to help people use it to the fullest, fitting their situation.”
Welcome, guys! We are happy to have you on board and wish you a lot of fun and success at g-company!
