g-company is committed to using technological opportunities in a positive way by enabling better and different ways of organizing and collaborating. 'Better' in the sense that organizational goals are served more; 'different' in the sense that there is more than just the cost advantage that cloud computing enables by making servers and network infrastructure obsolete.

Collaboration takes on a whole new dimension when organizations leverage the potential of social media outside and inside the organization. I believe we are at the dawn of an era in which we organize our work differently. Employees can literally and figuratively be "on the same page" with each other in projects, in organizational goals and in serving the outside world that is abundantly active with social media.

g-company was the first Google Apps start-up in the Netherlands. We were the very first to focus 100% on Cloud solutions, in our short existence we have brought over 100,000 users in all kinds of organizations live on Google Apps! We are "Cloud Born" and now it's time to take the new collaboration further with social media like Google+, Google Hangouts and Youtube, both within organizations and in their respective ecosystems beyond.

Salesforce was on the agenda at g-company from the start, and now we are firmly committed to Salesforce.com Foundation. Salesforce is the global market leader in CRM: successfully communicating with customers and other relations, including through social media marketing. g-company is a preferred partner of Salesforce.com Foundation to help charities, NGOs, arts and cultural organizations and educational organizations to work even more effectively by applying new technologies intelligently. One such application is the collaborative platform Chatter (by Salesforce), which makes enormous organizational power possible.

This is our first g-company blog post in a long time. As far as we are concerned, many more will follow, where we will strive to help organizations maximize their potential.
